Susie Hedalen Wins Republican Primary for State Superintendent
Helena, MT— Susie Hedalen overwhelmingly won the support of Montanans in the Republican primary election for Superintendent of Public Instruction this evening.
"Montanans sent a strong message today that they want a State Superintendent who will get education back to basics," Hedalen said Tuesday. "As your next Superintendent, my priorities will be honoring families and teachers, ensuring school safety, and expanding educational opportunities for Montana students. I want to thank my supporters for their vote of confidence in the primary, and I look forward to a strong general election campaign."
Susie Hedalen is currently Townsend Public Schools's district superintendent and the Montana Board of Public Education vice-chair. She previously served as Deputy Superintendent for the Montana Office of Public Instruction and has extensive experience as an educator and administrator in rural class C to large AA schools across the state.
Hedalen's candidacy has received extensive support, earning her endorsements from Governor Gianforte, Attorney General Knudsen, Congressman Zinke, state and local officials across the state, and the Montana Contractors' Association. These widespread endorsements are a testament to her qualifications and the confidence she has instilled.
Hedalen graduated from Montana State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education, a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership, and a Certificate in Native American Studies.
